In fact, I haven’t used soap on my face in years. In this blog, I’m going to share five crucial steps to help you get rid of acne, and I’ll also provide a bonus tip if these initial steps don’t yield the desired results.

Five Steps to Rid Acne

  1. Cut Out Refined Sugars: One of the major culprits behind acne is a diet rich in refined sugars. These sugars can wreak havoc on your hormones and your liver’s detoxification pathways, leading to skin issues. High-fructose corn syrup and other processed sugars are particularly harmful. Remember, your genetic makeup and gut health play a significant role, so don’t compare yourself to others who can indulge in sugary treats without breaking out.
  2. Eliminate Gluten: Gluten, found in wheat, can trigger inflammatory responses in your body, contributing to acne. It can also lead to leaky gut syndrome, allergies, and even autoimmune diseases. Removing gluten from your diet can significantly reduce stress and inflammation.

Consider a stool test, which can reveal insights into your gut health, microbiome, and inflammation levels. Sometimes, the root of the problem lies within the gut.

Avoid the temptation to turn to medications like Accutane, which can have long-term consequences. Instead, focus on these five steps to address the root causes of acne. And if these steps don’t provide the relief you seek, consider delving deeper with a stool test to get a comprehensive picture of your gut health.
